Privacy Policy
This privacy policy applies to the Morning Bible app (the "Application") for mobile devices, provided by the Service Provider as a free service. The Application is provided "AS IS".
Summary of Data Access, Collection, and Use
This section describes all user data that the Application accesses, stores locally, transmits, or otherwise processes.
- Account data: not accessed, not collected, not used.
- Personal information (such as name, email address, phone number, postal address): not accessed, not collected, not used.
- Contacts: not accessed, not collected, not used.
- Photos, videos, files, or documents from your device: not accessed, not collected, not used.
- Location data: not accessed, not collected, not used.
- Messages, call logs, microphone, or camera data: not accessed, not collected, not used.
- Health data: not accessed, not collected, not used.
- Device identifier used by the like feature: when you use the article like feature, the Application sends a device identifier together with the article identifier and your vote to the Service Provider's backend to process the like and help prevent duplicate voting from the same device.
- On-device app data: the Application stores selected app language, theme mode, text zoom level, and the list of already-read feed items locally on your device to provide the app experience.
Information Collection and Use
The Application does not require users to create an account and does not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, location, or payment information through the app.
The Application accesses and processes only the limited data necessary for its features:
- Local device/app data: selected app language, theme mode, text zoom level, and feed items marked as already read. This data is stored locally on your device.
- Like feature data sent to backend: article identifier, your like/vote value, and a device identifier. On Android, this identifier is the Android ID. This data is transmitted only when you use the like feature.
The Application does not collect or transmit any other user data except as described in this policy.
Health Data Disclosure
The Application does not access, collect, use, store, share, or transfer any health data or medical information.
This includes, but is not limited to, the following categories of health data:
- fitness and activity data, including steps, workouts, or exercise records
- heart rate or other body sensor data
- sleep data
- menstrual or reproductive health data
- medical records, diagnosis, treatment, medication, or condition information
- nutrition, weight, blood pressure, blood glucose, or similar wellness data
The Application does not integrate with Google Fit, Health Connect, HealthKit, body sensors, or any similar health platform or health-related SDK/API.
Because the Application does not access or collect health data, it does not use health data for any purpose, does not retain health data, and does not provide any health data to third parties.
The Application does process the following limited data in order to provide its features:
- On-device settings and usage data: selected app language, theme mode, text zoom level, and the list of feed items marked as already read. This information is stored locally on your device.
- Article like data: if you use the like feature for a feed/article, the Application sends the article identifier, your vote, and a device identifier to the Service Provider's backend service. On Android, this identifier is the Android ID. This is used only to record likes and to help prevent duplicate voting from the same device.
The Application uses internet access to download app content and, when you use the like feature, to communicate with the Service Provider's backend.
How Data Is Used
- To display content inside the Application.
- To remember your local app preferences and already-read feed items on your device.
- To process and display article like counts and prevent duplicate likes from the same device.
Data Sharing
The Service Provider does not sell your personal data. Data submitted through the like feature is processed by the Service Provider's backend hosting infrastructure only for operating the Application.
User Data Categories Not Collected
The Application does not access, collect, store, or share the following categories of user data:
- name, email address, phone number, postal address, or other directly identifying personal information
- contacts
- photos, videos, files, or documents from your device
- precise or approximate location
- messages, call history, microphone, or camera data
- payment information
- health or medical data
Data Retention and Deletion
Health Data: No health data is collected, so no health data is retained by the Application or the Service Provider.
Data stored on your device: app settings and already-read feed items remain on your device until you clear the Application's storage/data or uninstall the Application.
Like feature data: records submitted through the like feature may be retained by the Service Provider for as long as needed to operate the feature, maintain accurate counts, and prevent duplicate voting, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
If you want data deleted:
- To remove locally stored data, uninstall the Application or clear the Application's storage/data in your device settings.
- To request deletion of server-side like data, contact the Service Provider at morningbible@outlook.com. The Service Provider will review and process deletion requests within a reasonable time, subject to legal or operational requirements.
Children's Privacy
The Application does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page.
